Dr William Glasson, AO, MBBS FRANZCO FRACS FRCOpfth FRACGP (hons) DIP AppSc (Opt)
Dr Glasson graduated from the University of Queensland in 1980 and completed his residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Mater Hospital. After completing his ophthalmic training in Brisbane he undertook postgraduate training in London in the area of ocular oncology as well as working in the area of lid and lacrimal pathology. Doctor Glasson entered full time private practice in 1988. He also conducts clinics at Longreach, Winton, Barcaldine and Blackall.
Dr Glasson is a general ophthalmologist with a special interest in ocular oncology, refractive surgery and lacrimal surgery. He is currently a consultant ophthalmologist at the Mater Public Hospital, 2 Field Hospital Enoggera and Longreach Base Hospital. He is a past President of the Australian Medical Association. He is a consultant ophthalmologist to the Australian Army and holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He provides outreach services to the Australian indigenous population as well as providing ophthalmic services in East Timor.

Dr Guy D'Mellow, MBBS (Hons) FRANZCO FRACS
Dr D'Mellow completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1980. He then did his residency at the Mater Hospitals and a medical registrarship at Princess Alexandra Hospital. After completing his ophthalmic training in Brisbane he undertook postgraduate training in the United Kingdom.
Dr D'Mellow special interests are in glaucoma and general ophthalmology. Dr D'Mellow has appointments as a visiting consultant at the Mater and Greenslopes Hospitals. He is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and is an examiner in Physiology for the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists.
Dr Denis Stark MB BS (Qld) FRCS (Edin) FRANZCO
Dr Denis Stark is a senior clinician, specialising in the diagnosis and management of all eye disorders of children and also strabismus in adults and provides ophthalmic services to rural and remote areas throughout Queensland. For many years he has been a well known and respected ophthalmologist in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
Dr Stark is also an active member of the Australian Squint Club executive committee and the Chairman of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Paediatric Special Interest Group. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.
Dr Lily Ooi FRANZCO, MBBS (Hons)
Dr Lily Ooi graduated in medicine with honours in 1997 and completed advanced ophthalmic training in Brisbane. She completed her fellowship training in general ophthalmic surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.
Her clinical interests are cataract, glaucoma, diabetes, medical retinal and strabismus surgery.
Dr Ooi operates at the City EyeTech Day surgery, Southside EyeTech Day surgery, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland Eye Hospital. She is also a visiting Ophthalmologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and an associate lecturer at the University of Queensland. She is involved in the training of Queensland Ophthalmology registrars.
Dr Ooi is multi-lingual; she is proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien and Malay.
Dr Fiona Chan MBBS (Hons 1) FRANZCO
Dr Fiona Chan graduated from The University of Queensland in 1997 with first class honours and commenced her residency training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. She commenced Ophthalmology training as a registrar in 2003 and was appointed to the role of Senior Registrar in 2007 for her final year of training.
Her surgeries are performed at the Vision Eye Institute River city, Auchenflower and Peninsula Private Hospital on the northside and Eye-Tech Mt Gravat.
She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology and joined the Specialist Connect practice in late 2010. Dr Chan’s main areas of interest include cataract and lens surgery, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
Dr Chan is proficient in Chinese (Cantonese).
