Fractionated CO2 Laser

Fractionated Laser Therapy (FL) employs the lastest innovative laser delivery systems.  Laser light is delivered to the skin as multiple 'pin points' or 'dots' rather than the 'paint brush' approach of older technologies.  This approach delivers major advantages compared to traditional laser resurfacing procedures.

  • Less operative discomfort or pain
  • Faster healing
  • Greater safety
  • Greater flexibility in achieving desired epidermal or dermal effects

The Fractionated Laser can be used for certain conditions -

  • Solar damage - removes many solar keratoses and superficial skin cancers and reduces their future development.
  • Ageing changes sucha s pigment patches, roughness, sallowness, skin laxity and fine wrinkling.
  • Scarring expecially from acne, chickenpox, trauma or surgery.

Due to its improved safety profile, FL can also be used for skin areas such as the neck and chest.

Vascular (Diolite) Laser

Vascular Laser is used to treat broken capillaries (mainly on the face and neck), persistent facial redness, burns, some scars and vascular (red or purple) birth marks.  The laser selectively targets and damages cells in these areas and they are reabsorbed into the body.  Several treatments may be required to reach the desired outcome.  Your Doctor will advise you if and when further appointments are required.

Dermal Grafting

This technique utilises the body's own collagen or fat to repair and fill depressed facial scars.  It is employed to repair scars from acne, chicken pox, surgery, trauma or following rare diseases which damage the deeper skin tissue.  Most single scars can be permanently repaired with one treatment, however wide spread scarring, for example, following acne, requires a course of treatment.

Dermal-Fat Grafting is a reliable repair technique with good to very good results for most parties.  The eventual results acheived depend on the numer of treatment sessions undertaken.  Follow up treatments may be suggested, such as chemical peels or laser resurfacing, to rectify other surface problems such as pigmentation or fine residual surface irregularities.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Laser Treatment

Carbon Dioxide, or CO2 Laser is used for the treatment of 'age spots', pigmentation, scarring, some forms of pre-cancerous or cancerous growths and for the removal of warts.  It can also be used to resurface skin following a Chemical Peel or Dermal Grafting, as well as to reduce the effects of Rosecea.  The energy produced by the laser removed the damaged outer layers of skin to allow for the growth of healthy, new tissue.

Q Switched YAG Laser Therapy

The YAG Laser is used for the removal of tattoos and some skin pigmentation.  It works most effectively on amateur and/or black in tattoos.  The desired effect is achieved with several applications of the laser.  It can also be used in the removal of coloured ink tattoos; however more treatments may be required than for black ink.
